Back Pain

Lower back pain is one of the most common things we treat in the clinic.

Some back injuries might happen suddenly. But others build up over months and years.

You might find you're not moving as well as you'd like. You could be having to avoid sitting for long, or taking extra time in the morning to get moving.

You might notice that bending for things as simple as putting on your socks is a challenge. Your work, exercise and even sleep might be affected.

Many conditions can cause back pain:

  • Muscle strains

  • Disc injury

  • Joint sprains

  • Irritated nerves

Common Symptoms:

  • Pain when bending

  • Problems turning in bed

  • Difficulty doing housework or manual lifting

  • Pain when turning or twisting

  • Poor sleeping

  • Unable to sit for any length of time

  • Pain radiating to your leg

  • Areas of pins and needles or numbness

  • Pain when walking or on stairs

  • Trouble putting on socks or shoes

I had already had issues with back pain for about 10 years & had tried various things but Alison’s physio treatment was what finally got me pain free day to day.
